Glen Allen Sprowls

Glen Allen Sprowls “Papaw”, 85, of Garland, TX passed peacefully at Methodist Hospital Richardson on February 12, 2025. 

Born in Seymour, TX on June 2, 1939 to Maggie and Allan Matthew Sprowls. 

Moved to Garland in 1955 with his parents where he graduated Garland High School shortly after. He then started working at Space corp until beginning a career in the envelope industry for 32 years. This is where he met his wife, Ella Faye and daughter, Johna Faye. At this time he coached competitive girls softball with his brother, Ronnie. 

Glen only left the envelope industry after losing a couple of fingers. He then started his own successful business delivering truck accessories.

Survived by his loving companion, Carmen Lyons; son, Charlie Sprowls; grandson, Rick King and spouse Michelle King; grandson, Tyler Sprowls; grandson, Brent Sprowls; brother, Ronnie Sprowls; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. 

He enjoyed to gamble on the slot machines, fishing, and drink his Diet Coke while eating chocolate cake or ice cream! Loved several sports and spending time with family and friends.

Preceeded in death by his wife, Ella Faye Sprowls; daughter, Johna Faye Lovelady; brother, Jimmy Sprowls; sister, Peggy Faulkner; and sister, Wanda Hicks.
