Gerard Raymond Fell

Gerard "Jerry" Raymond Fell, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend passed peacefully from this life at his Fairview home with loving family by his side on October 14, 2015 after a courageous, lengthy battle with cancer. Born October 3, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, Jerry was a larger than life personality who brought joy to those around him, he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lorraine Fell, and his brother Allan Patrick Fell.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Audrey Fell; siblings Mary Gail Mathias and her husband Mike of Rushville, OH; Joanne Grant and her husband Jon of Glouster, OH; his brother Greg Fell and his wife Carla of Mt. Holly, NC; sister Veronica Dodds and her husband Pat of Lancaster, OH. He had three devoted children, Mark Fell and his wife Stacey of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Wendy Smith and her husband Randy of Allen, TX; Maranda Britting and her husband Francis of Columbia, SC. He had six beloved grandchildren, Ethan Smith; Ryan Smith; Bailey Smith; Sophia Britting; Elizabeth Britting; and Samantha Smith, many nieces and nephews, dear friends, and side-kick Taco.
A fierce competitor and star athlete at the high school and collegiate level, Jerry was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1970. After his baseball career, Jerry applied this same competitive "can-do" spirit to his business pursuits where he received many accolades and won numerous awards in sales and management. His passions in life included sports, music, coaching and his career.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held in November. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) 155 East 55th Street 6H New York, NY 10022 // www.lungfund.org.
