Gerald Raymond Schotthoefer

Gerald (Jerry) Schotthoefer passed peacefully in his sleep with family by his side on July 4, 2024 at the age of 89.

Jerry was born 1/6/1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph & Anna Schotthoefer where he was the 11th of 13 children. 

He attended Servite high school and served 4 years in the US Army. Following his military service he completed his Apprenticeship with Ford Motor Company. He then moved to Adell Corporation where he was a general manager until he retired.

Jerry had a passion for the outdoors, racing, and enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, and cars.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Joan Schotthoefer, son Gerald Schotthoefer Jr., son-in-law Dan Cornelison, grandchildren Justin & Jessica, and his faithful canine companion Aimee. Those left to cherish his memory are Laurie Cornelison, Patty (Mark) Comins, Nancy (Lew) Miller, Richard (Kathy) Schotthoefer, grandchildren Daniel, Megan (John), Michael, Ashley (Jacob), Hannah (Ryan), Stephen (Ericka), Drew, Allison (Aubrey), Katie, and great grandchildren Ori, Dyson, Atlas, Ava, IO, Marin, Kinsley as well as other relatives and friends.

Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength and passion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
