George Howard Mote of Princeton, Texas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in McKinney, Texas.
He was born January 31, 1928 in Sharon, Oklahoma to the late Bernard and Edith Mote. Mr. Mote was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He retired from Lone Star Trucking Co. after 27 years. The highlight of his working career was his 18 years driving a bus for C-Cart, where he jokingly became known as "Me George".
He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Princeton. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. He was an avid fan of the Rangers, Mavericks, and Cowboys. Family was his first priority, pride and joy. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his unique laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Norma Mote, sons Alan Mote, Danny Mote, Mike Burling, daughters Teresa Grimes, Becky Lopez, Janet Burling and Shonna Crawford, their spouses, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Martha Mote, Margery Darden, Ruth Crowe, brother Lile Mote and their spouses.
