George Fulton Maynard, 71, of Richardson, TX was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 12, 2019. He was born on May 14, 1948 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident in Richardson, TX. He recently retired from a long and successful career with Heilind Electronics where he was deeply loved and respected. Our hearts are breaking at the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, but we rejoice in knowing that he is in Heaven singing with the angels and in the arms of Jesus.
Our George lived life to the fullest! He enjoyed fishing, cooking, grilling, a good old-fashioned fish fry, and award-winning chili cook offs. He was passionate about singing, playing his guitar, fixing and building things. Oh, how he loved his tools! He also loved his dogs, especially his buddy Buster. The devotion they shared for one another tugged at your heart. George always welcomed any opportunity to gather with friends and family. He loved parties and being around people. He was happiest when he was helping someone else and making others happy. He was a jokester and had a vivacious sense of humor. He loved to listen to old country hymns and to sing karaoke to country music! If you asked him what his favorite thing was in this world, he would say his family, especially his children and grandchildren, but he truly appreciated and held sacred every relationship he ever made whether it was personal or work related. He had the biggest heart and was so kind and loving to all that knew him. He would light up a room and have you laughing in no time! George cherished his loving wife, Ann, the love of his life! They were always by each other's side, taking care of each other in sickness and in health. He always wrapped his family in unconditional love and he left this world knowing that his love was returned abundantly. He brought his children up on faith in our Father in Heaven and his faith never wavered in the end. He was an amazing man that will be forever remembered for his love, compassion, devotion, hard work, contagious laughter, and love for Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to know him.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Maynard, Stella Elizabeth (Betty) Harrell, Robert (Bob) Harrell Sr. and sister, Diana Upchurch.
