George Gant

George went to be with his Lord on June 25, 2013 at the age of 82. He was born in Wills Point, TX son of Bobby Lee Gant and Myrtle Lucille Smith, and was one of 10 children. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and serving in his church. He will be remembered for his big smile, sense of humor and caring generosity always wanting to help others. George was the founder of Gant's and later Greenforest Landscaping. His faith inspired many and he will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Lillie Mae, Wilbur, Myrtle, Irene, Curtis, Bobby, W.C., and Judy; his oldest daughter, Mary Jane, and his late wives: Nell and Glenna. He is survived by his wife Margaret Smith, his sister, Pauline Mageors, his sons: Bobby Gant, Ronnie Gant, George Anthony Gant, Wesley Shannon; his daughters: Jackie Martin, Angela Brownrigg, Mary Brookshire, and Cheryl Shannon; his 19 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
