Geneva Wood, 74, of Plano, Texas went to heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020
Geneva was born on March 14, 1945 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Roland Lee and the late Bonnie Bates Lee. Surviving are one son Dale Wood of Plano, TX. One brother Charles Lee (wife Rita) of Vernon, TX and one sister Oleta Richardson (husband Floyd) of Wichita Falls, TX and a host of neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Larry Wood, brothers Sidney Lee, Hoyt Lee and Henry Lee and sister Odessa Bartlett. Geneva was a member of Heritage Church. She enjoyed a career in banking for 25 years.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home 601 S. Tennessee St. McKinney, TX 75069. A memorial service for family and friends will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Heritage Church 4045 Eldorado Pkwy. McKinney, TX 75070. Burial and interment will be in Vernon, TX at a future date.
Rev. Len McLaughlin officiating, arrangements under the direction of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
