Gene E. Nix, Jr., a beloved husband, daddy, Paw Paw, son, brother, and friend, was called home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2015 in Wylie, Texas at the age of fifty-eight. He was born January 13, 1957 in Dallas, Texas.
Gene's whole life was his family and he especially loved a family barbeque. He enjoyed many different things including drawing, fishing, traveling, and going to the movies. Gene could fix anything and always would when called at any time. He was extremely proud to be a thirty-five year member of I.B.E.W., Locals 59 and 20.
Gene loved the Lord with all of his heart and looked forward to seeing his Savior, Jesus. His favorite Bible verse was Psalms 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, He has removed our transgressions from us".
Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Nix; father in-law, Junior Johnson, brother in-law, Bill England, and cousin, Larry Byrd.
Gene is survived by his wife of forty years, Sandra Nix; three daughters, Angie Bell and her husband, Travis, Tiffany Millstead and her husband, Jeff and Brandie Bohmer and her husband, Chris; son, Chance Nix and his wife, Jennifer; nine grandchildren, Maddie Tharp, K.K. Belle Tharp, Hannah Pinkham, Lily Bohmer, Matthis "Little Man" Pinkham, Gracie Bohmer, Jack Bohmer, Annabelle Bohmer, and Damien Nix; his father, Gene E. Nix, Sr.; brother, Gary Nix and his wife, Janis; mother in-law, Gloria Johnson; two sisters in-law, Reva Johnson and Pam England; three brothers in-law, Michael Wayne Johnson and his wife, Sue, Robert "Bo" Johnson, and Charlie Johnson and his wife, Renae; three special cousins, Fred Byrd and his wife, Donna, Marty Schulze and his wife, Lana and Genelda Winchester; his lifetime best friend, Billy Hill; his I.B.E.W. Local 20 brothers; and many in-laws and outlaws, otherwise known as family and friends.
