Gene Crawford

Gene Crawford died at home on March 11, 2020.

The most memorable thing about Gene was his smile. He was always so optimistic. He had a wonderful capacity to love and care for others. He was a friend to many people and enjoyed helping those who needed a hand and would try his best to do repair jobs for neighbors and friends. Gene was a marvelous husband and father and took great care of his family. He and Bettye were blessed to have two sons, two great grandsons, and one great granddaughter. Throughout his life Gene was very athletic and enjoyed water and snow skiing. He and his wife loved to travel and had visited 20 different countries. His family so appreciated those who cared for and ministered to him in his final days. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife; Bettye "Boots" Crawford; son; Randy and partner David Turner; grandsons; Joshua Crawford and wife Tausha, and Zachary Crawford; great-grandchildren; Zachary Genious Crawford, Jona Crawford, and Ayla Carlson; and brother; Doyle Crawford. Gene was preceded in death by son Larry Crawford, who passed in 2001.

Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Big Springs Cemetery.
