Fred Dean Hill

Fred Dean Hill was born on March 11, 1946 in Seymour, Texas and passed away on January 12, 2024.  Fred was preceded in death by his father Earl Dean Hill and mother Barbara Agapita Cruz Hill, sister, Stella Self and brother Louis Hill.  

Fred married Cheryl Pruitt Hill in 1967 in Munday, Texas and moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 1967.   He retired from Texas Department of Transportation in 1999 after 32 years.  He was the Foreman when he retired from Wichita County in 2001 after 6 years.  

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, children, David Hill and wife Shannon Gordon, Chad Hill and husband Coby Hill and Lori Larson and husband Drew Larson.  Grandchildren Nona Larson, Piera Larson and Valentina Larson.

Fred was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ.  He loved volunteering and volunteered for the Lions Club, The Sunshine House and the State Hospital.

Fred enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was generous and a friend to everyone who met him.
