Francesca A. Decker Park, 76, died May 8, 2014, loving her life and enjoying a good laugh. Her husband of 22 years, Finley Park, her sister and other family members were at her side.
Francesca was born on March 9, 1938 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Jacinta Aguirre and Guillermo Decker, both from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is survived by a sister that she adored Conception Decker Gonzalez and her husband Dr. Jose Luis Gonzalez of Guayaquil, Ecuador, and her loving brother Guillermo Decker of Miami, Florida.
She is also survived by her daughters, Tatiana Bell (Scott) of Richardson, Texas and Sabrina Decker, Mesquite, Texas and her son, Richard Novillo. Her grandchildren are: Michael Peal (Celeste), Steven Holbrook, Nicolette Novillo, Jessica Novillo, Alicia Bell, Natalie Bell, Zakarie Wayman, and Astraea Wayman. Her two great grandchildren are Ethan Holbrook and Nevaeh Alston
Francesca was born in Ecuador but as a little girl she dreamed of coming to the United States. She loved everything about the United States, the clothes, shoes, music, the food, and the people. She applied to the US immigration to come to the United States and she would check every day for two years with the American counsel for her approval. Upon receipt of her approval she packed up her belongings and her kids, left her family, friends and her language and came to the United States and she never looked back, nor regretted her long awaited citizenship. Francesca lived the American Dream and with that dream her family flourished with every opportunity that arose for them. She was the pillar to many successes and many lives around her. Francesca believed in working hard and playing hard. She loved her friends, dancing, her garden, and spending time with Finley traveling, dancing, making their wine and canned hot sauce. Francesca did not know a stranger, she had no enemies, everyone was family to her and she welcomed everyone she knew into her life. She loved her family and was loved by each one of them. There was nothing that made her happier than having her family around her, especially all her grandchildren. Francesca enjoyed dancing to every kind of music and at every opportunity to dance she would. Although she did not attend church regularly she walked in the steps of a true Christian with love in her heart for everyone she met.
She will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. She passed from this life but her energy is within all of us that she touched.
