Feng Yung Yeh Liu, 78, of Richardson, passed away December 5th, 2023, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Liu A Wen and Liu Chiu Mei Mei on August 20, 1945 in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
She is survived by her husband, Song Lin, 4 children: Szu Kuan (son)/Cindy (daughter-in-law); Ching-I (Jeanny - daughter)/Michael (son-in-law); Chia Chih (daughter)/Huy (son-in-law), Miriam (daughter) and 7 beautiful grandchildren: Chandler, Jolynn, Kristof, Jonathan, Zoe, Lilly, and Ava. Feng Yung is also survived by her siblings in Taiwan: Pi Fung Liu (sister), Ting Tai Liu (brother), Li Rou Liu (sister), Jia Mi Liu (sister) and Miao Sheng Liu (brother).
In 1973, traveling across the continents with 3 little children, Feng Yung joined her husband in São Paulo, Brazil where they built a family business and had their 4th child. She and her husband worked tirelessly to provide opportunities to their children, especially in the ultimate dream to move to the US.
Feng Yung and Song Lin were married for 59 years, and throughout the years, they kept reminding us that family dynamics are essential. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Feng Yung. She loved having her family around, especially at the table with lots of food. She was very involved and instrumental in her grandchildren’s lives. She was a baby-whisperer, always knowing what a baby needed and why they were crying. In her free time, besides caring for her husband, she loved painting, drawing, karaoke, ping-pong, badminton, and playing Sudoku.
Feng Yung taught us to be kind and generous to all. We love her and miss her dearly. Feng Yung would always finish her phone calls with: I love you (in Chinese followed by a kiss kiss sound). With that, we say: 我愛妳 (kiss kiss).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
