Fayrene Joyce Green Butler, of Garland, Texas, was born on February 20, 1919 at Eustace, Texas. She departed this world on February 24, 2012 with her loving daughter, Alida Kay Butler, by her side.
Fayrene was a loving and devoted wife to Dwight E. Butler for more than 51 years. They met in the early 1940’s at North American Aviation in Grand Prairie, Texas where they were both employed building aircraft used in World War II. After the war, they moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where Fayrene was a homemaker and later drove a school bus for Caddo Parish Schools. Fayrene lived her life as a faithful Christian and made her home in Shreveport until her move to Garland, Texas in 1999.
Fayrene is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Lola Green; her husband, Dwight E. Butler; and her only sister, Marietta Green Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Alida Kay Butler of Garland, Texas; one brother-in-law, Charles R. Allen of Rockwall, Texas; nephews: Keith Allen and wife Betty of Rockwall, Texas and Kevin Allen of Edgewood, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Fayrene requested donations be made to Arms of Hope: 21300 State Highway 16 North; Medina, Texas 78055-3820.
