After retirement, they moved back to Durant for a number of years, living on a beautiful acreage that they both loved. Fayna enjoyed feeding the birds and helping to care for the few cattle they owned. She regularly volunteered in her community and loved her church. In 2008 they moved back to the Garland area.
Fayna loved to dance and sing. She and Barnett often square danced and she learned to clog. She loved having all the family together for Thanksgiving and cooking a big meal. She has been a resident of Grand Brook Memory Care facility for the past 10 years where she has received extraordinary loving care. She always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Her favorite thing to do was sing hymns of Praise to the Lord. Today she is singing with the angels.
