Evelyn A. Floyd

Evelyn A. Floyd went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2011. She was born April 15, 1917 in Reisel, Texas, to John and Augusta Schreiber, the youngest of eight children. She attended business college and worked for several years in Waco, Texas. She married Rayburn Floyd, a Baylor University ministerial student, on March 22, 1942. They served Baptist churches in Eddy, Dennison, Grandview, Decatur and Dallas, Texas for over 50 years, with the last 28 years at Lake Highlands Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rayburn Floyd. She is survived by daughters Carol Breeding and husband, Bill, and Betty Arnold and husband, Jim; four grandchildren: Jason Breeding and wife Joy, Keith Arnold and wife Marnie, Jennifer Mumford and husband Charles, and Adam Arnold and wife Cassie; seven great grandchildren: Avery, Ella, Maddox, Tyler and Dylan Arnold, Gabriel Youngquist and Caleb Breeding.

The funeral will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Dr. (LBJ & Northwest Highway), at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, with viewing from 9:00 " 10:00 a.m.. Rev. Mark Farish, pastor of Lake Highlands Baptist Church, will officiate at the service. Private family graveside service will follow at Restland Cemetery.
