Eugene F. Impiccini was born in Rochester, NY on August 3, 1922. He passed away June 8, 2011 at the age of 88. A resident of Northeast Dallas since July 1978, he was a veteran of the Army Air corps in World War II and a U. S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. He served both times as an enlistee. He later pursued the teaching profession both in New York State and Texas, and retired in 1991 after more than 30 years in education. Outside his professional career, his loves were gardening and singing as a member of the choir at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas.
Surviving are his devoted wife, Jeana, of 57 years, his son Lt. Colonel David J. Impiccini (USAF) and his wife Kay Impiccini of McKinney, Texas and son Douglas E. Impiccini and wife Judy Impiccini of Carrollton, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Michael and Rebekah Impiccini of McKinney, Texas as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He is remembered by dear friends, Harold Hall, Willie Holdrick and Lowell Miller.
As a Christian, Eugene believed in the living Son of God, Jesus Christ, who takes away the sins of the world and offers eternal life to those who call upon his Holy name.
Many thanks for the attention given by the medical staff at Heart to Heart. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. before the mass.
An inurnment ceremony will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
