Esmeralda Rodriguez Tinajero, "Maye", 64, died on May 21, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on December 8, 1949 in Abernathy, Texas to her parents George and Olivia Rodriguez. Mrs. Tinajero is survived by her husband, Fernando Tinajero; her daughters, Anna Rodriguez, Roberta Rodriguez and Christina Tinajero; her son Fernando R. Tinajero; grandchildren Desiree Rodriguez, Christian Alonzo, Albert Rodriguez, Christopher Nunez, Alexis Garcia and Mercedez Nunez; her sisters, Santos Rodriguez, Consuelo Nino, Delfina Villa and Rosie Salazar; her brothers, Ignacio Rodriguez, Isidrio Rodriguez, Armando Escobedo, Steven Coronado and Gabriel Sanchez along with 50 nephews and nieces. Mrs. Tinajero was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Salazar; father, George Rodriguez, Sr; brother, George Rodriguez, Jr.; sisters, Liria Diaz, Meylinda Salazar and Louisa Salazar and a grandson, Baby Randy Alonzo. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St. McKinney, Texas 75069. The funeral will be on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Vintage Church, 107 E. Lamar St. McKinney, Texas with the Reverend Jack Powers officiating.
