Ernesto Zuniga Jasso

Today we gathered to honor and celebrate the life of Ernesto Zuniga Jasso Sr. born May 31, 1960, in Odem, Texas to Inez and Elena (Zuniga) Jasso.  He touched the lives of everyone who knew him.  He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend.  He moved to McKinney, Texas in 1978, where shortly later in 1978 he met the love of his life Alma Trevino.  He was a devoted foreman to GCEC for over 40 years.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Alma Jasso of McKinney, Texas, sons Carlos Hernandez and Ernesto Jasso Jr, of McKinney, Texas; Daughters: Sofia Jasso (and Fiancé Moses Garza) of McKinney and Analisa Avila of McKinney, Texas.  Grandchildren: Kaylin, Ernesto and Macario Jasso of Dallas, TX; Isaiah Rojas, Shalyssa, Marissa and Lorenzo Avila of McKinney, Tx.  Sisters Mary Vera of Dallas, Texas and Janie Jasso of Princeton, Texas, Alicia Jasso of Grand Prairie, Texas.  Brothers: Juan Jasso of Alvarado, Texas, Jamie Jasso of McKinney, Texas, Jerry and Elizabeth Jasso of McKinney, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Friday, May 17^th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.   Internment will follow at Van Winkle Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and family during the visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16^th at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
