Emmett Alan Rouse

Emmett Alan Rouse, born February 10, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly October 7, 2023.

Alan married April Mary Hurd on October 27, 1967. They met while attending Washburn University and eloped to Spartanburg, SC after a brief courtship. They were looking forward to celebrating their 56th anniversary while traveling throughout the United Kingdom and returning on a transatlantic cruise.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. E.L and Evelyn Rouse, and in- laws Jason and Mary Hurd.

Alan leaves behind his wife, April, two daughters - Elizabeth Moeck and Jay, their children Max, Chloe, Brandon, Ryan, Jordan and their families;  Victoria Kubecka and Eric, their children Grace and Nathan.  He also leaves behind his brother Rodney Rouse (Emilee), sister Margie Jean Norris (Terry), brother-in-law Jason Charles Hurd (Veronica), sister-in-law Brenda Johnson (David). Nieces and nephews: Deidra, Eric, Keenan, Ash-Leigh, Trinity, Miranda, Kandle, Jason Robert, Ross, Rachel, and Jacob.
