Emmaralda "Emmie" Ford

Graveside Services for Emmie Ford, age 87 of Plano, Texas, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Friday, September 3, 2021 in the DFW National Cemetery with Rev. Boyd Wood officiating. Services are under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Son's Funeral Home, located at 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069, phone 972-562-7788.

Mrs. Ford died on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at her home in Plano, Texas. She was born on August 27, 1933, in Idabel Oklahoma to John and Bertha (Birdie) Livingston. Mrs. Ford lived in several locations throughout Texas before settling in Hideaway Lake and Lindale, Texas, prior to moving to Plano, to be closer to family after her husband Donald Rex Ford passed away in 2011.
Mrs. Ford was a member of the Lindale First Baptist Church as well Heritage Church of McKinney. Emmie was an Executive Assistant for the Editor of the Dallas Times Herald Newspaper for a number of years as well as an Administrative Assistive for Chase Bank. She enjoyed travel and had a love for animals. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her parents, John and Birdie, as well as her brothers, Dale, Winfred and James.

She is survived by her sister, Inez Hitchcock of McKinney, Texas.
