ELouise Frances West

ELouise Frances Hosornie/Gomez West, age 91, of Kemp, Texas, passed away October 11, 2015 in Kaufman, Texas. She was born April 6, 1924 in Pocatello, Idaho.

Over the years, she enjoyed dancing, sewing, attending auctions, having many animals,(currently a Chihuahua and parrot) watching her soap opera, the Dallas Mavericks, collecting plates, antique irons, along with salt and pepper shakers. She loved to cook for the family during the Holidays. Playing cards: Hearts and Old Maid (Old Witch, as she called it) with the grandkids was a family favorite. In Granbury, Texas she started her own business which lasted for many years before returning to the Dallas area. Her favorite flowers were colorful carnations.

ELouise was preceded in death by her husband, Milton West; two sons, Joe Beatey, Sr. and George "Mardie" Beatey; her parents, Benjamin Hosornie/Pedro Gomez and Anna Maria Verduzco Chavez Gomez; and brother, Ernie Gomez.

She is survived by her three daughters, Georgia Beatey, Edith Wright and her husband, Mike, and Milta Nail and her husband, Robert; son, James Farris; seven grandchildren, Joe Beatey, Jr. and his wife, Diane, Jeff Beatey, Jason Beatey and his wife, Stacey, Rachel Maverick and her husband, Anthony Johnson, Philip Wright and his wife, Amber, Aprill Hesse and her husband, Nick, and Benjamin Nail; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Anna Fowler, Ofelia Leon, Lela Garnica, Mary Lou Leon, and Mille Lara and her husband, Robert; her brother, Raymon Gomez and his wife, Kay; daughter in-law, Patricia Beatey; and numerous other family members.
