Elda Kaye Talley of Princeton, TX won her 12 year battle with Breast Cancer on June 25, 2019 at the age of 66. She is now residing in the arms of Jesus – cancer free.
She was born on November 18, 1952 to William Eldon Corbett and Billie June Corbett, in Breckenridge, TX. Throughout her life, Kaye loved her family, friends, church and church family with her whole being. But more than anything, she enjoyed singing for the Lord and sharing her love of Jesus with others. She was the epitome of what a Christian woman should be. Her world revolved around her two daughters, their husbands and her seven grandchildren. She loved attending all of their functions as well as worshiping with them at church every time the doors were open. Even when the cancer took its toll on her body – you would still find her there – with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Throughout her life – no matter what came her way – she was determined to never loose her faith. She was a firm believer in her Savior and knew without a doubt He had a plan for her life. She remained in constant prayer and found her strength in the Word of God. Her ragged and well-worn Bible, she left behind on this earth as a legacy for her family – is proof of this. She was a true blessing to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived in life by her two daughters, and their husbands. Deanna & Scotty Day of Blue Ridge, TX and Robin & Kevin Ratliff of Princeton, TX. Her older sister and her husband – Angela & Jim Speer of Breckenridge, TX, her brother and his wife – Bill & Sandy Corbett, of Forreston, TX. And her youngest sister and her husband – Bennie & Rick Bailey of Princeton, TX. Kaye also leaves behind her seven precious grandchildren – her pride and joys. Hailee, Haven, Braeden, Hallie, Kamryn, Kinlee and Easton. As well as multiple nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Kaye is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Talley, her grandmother, Mary Ida Lewis, her parents – William Eldon Corbett & Billie June Corbett. As well as her sister Jan Mills.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday June 29th at Central Baptist Church, located at 2142 Co Rd 337 McKinney, TX. A graveside service will be held that afternoon at 3:30 PM at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, TX. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, June 28th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Central Baptist Church.
