On April 10, 2011, Edward Ervin Watson, 58, passed away at his home in Garland, Texas, of complications after recent heart surgery. He was born on June 20, 1952 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Edward was a graduate of Marshall High School, served honorably in the U.S. Navy, and received an Associates degree in Electronics from San Diego Community College.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Milton E. Watson and Vera V. Hart. He is survived by his loving children, Michael Watson, Miranda Wilson and her husband Ryan Wilson; three sisters, Carolyn Page, Deedi Talamantez, Donna Sue Berlin, and their families; his aunts, Frances Pike, Hazel Lundsford, and their families. Edward is also survived by a loving extended family from his father’s second marriage: mother, Frances Watson; aunt, Sue Roberts; siblings Bill Youngkin, Jimmy Green, Gail Farish, Debra Wade, Tammy St Andre, and their families.
A joyful, loving man, who showed affection freely, Edward could bring a smile to anyone’s face with the simplest of looks. He was a gifted conversationalist who always had a life story to tell that could encourage, inspire, or entertain all who listened. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
The family will honor his memory in a service at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with a military burial on April 29, 2011.
