Edna Irene Staton

Age 83, passed from this life on October 26, 2011 in McKinney, Texas. She was born to Horace Allen and Pauline Alice Burnside in Melissa, Texas on December 8, 1927.
Edna lived in McKinney for the past 65 years. She was married to "Pete" Staton for 49 years. Besides being a wife, mother and homemaker, she was a dealer in antiques and estate sales. She was also a member of St. Peter’s Episcopalian Church.
She is survived by three of her children, Greg Staton and wife Terri, Mary Smith and fiancée James Johnson, Michael Staton and wife Glenda, four grandchildren Andrea Glaze and husband Marcus, Virginia Rodriguez and husband Aristio, Michael Staton, Jr., and Sarah Maricilli, two great grandchildren Joseph Maricilli and Ryan Smith, a brother Johnny Burnside and a sister Linda Duncan.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, several siblings and her daughter, Marilyn Larkin.
Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 28, 2011 at Ridgeview Cemetery in McKinney with the Reverend James Short officiating. Arrangements by Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, McKinney Chapel, 972-562-7788.
