Edna Newton was born May 13, 1927 in Paris Texas. Died August 3, 2017 in Rockwall Texas at age 90 surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by husbands Jack Bell and E.K. Newton; sons, James Slagle and Jackie Bell; her parents, Herbert Hagood and Melvina Aaron and brother, Jesse Curbow.



She is survived by her only daughter Shirley Mikus of Rockwall Texas; seven grandchildren, Michael Slagle; Annette Radican and husband Michael; Jennifer Kubic and husband Greg; Jill Clewis; Katrina Wagner and husband Sean; Kimberly Bell-Schultz; Ashley Clark and partner Josh; 14 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and many other friends and family members.



Edna and her husband E.K. were a long time members of First Baptist Church in Dallas Texas. She retired from Methodist Hospital Dallas as a supervisor in the Central Services Department. After retirement she worked with E.K. in their upholstery business. She was a talented seamstress who lovingly made clothing for her grandchildren and their dolls.



Visitation will be at Eastgate Funeral Home, Garland Texas on Sunday August 6th from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. and the funeral service will also be at Eastgate at 10 A.M. Monday August 7, 2017.
