Edna Marie Blackwell

Edna Marie Blackwell went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 2nd, 2015. She was born on August 3rd, 1945 in Cottle County Texas. Her mother and father were Ester & Buster Armstrong. She married Thomas Joe Blackwell Sr. on August 27th, 1963 in Dallas Texas. They were married 36 years and lived in McKinney Texas, where they raised 4 children.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Joe Blackwell Sr., and grandson Fransisco (P.J.)Murquia, Father-in-Law Preston Blackwell, and Mother-in-law Margie West. Brother Tommy and Wife Carla, Her sister Annetta and Husband Buster Mayo, two brother-in-laws Ross and Lance Dimsdle.

Edna is survived by 1 son Thomas Joe Blackwell Jr. and wife Michelle of Cross Roads, Texas. Three daughters, Margie Owen and Ray of Louisiana, Mary Murquia and Wayne Oodle of McKinney, Texas, Patricia Burleson and Kerry Jr. of McKinney, Texas. Grandchildren Ray Owen and wife Amber of Louisiana, David Owen and wife Magen of Louisiana, Tony Murquia of McKinney, Texas. Julia & Abagail Blackwell of Cross Roads, Texas. Jeff and Shelby Frymyer of Denton, Texas. Five great grandchildren, three sisters Addie May Tidwell, Maggie Goodwin, and Elizabeth Monroe. Two Brothers, Rubin and Richard Armstrong. Ricky and Mary Blackwell, Darrell Dimsdle and John West. Many Nieces and Nephews and Loved ones.

Daughter, wife, sister, aunt, mom, nanny, she was loved and will be missed. Mom's last words to her family was, tell everyone she loved them. Mom went to sleep peacefully and is in Heaven with the lord.

Services will be at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas on November 8th, 2015 from 2pm-4pm.
