Eddy Marie Free

Eddy Marie Free was a wondeful caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an independent and strong lady. She left this world on May 8th, 2021, at age 85.
Eddy loved spending time on the road in an RV going places and seeing family. Her and her late husband Don went all over the USA. She loved going to the beach. Her favorite things were family gatherings and getting together with everyone. Once she settled down in one spot, she enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a great bookkeeper, valued by her bosses. Even after retirement she stayed close to Harry and Leona Whipple. Eddy was a Dr. Pepper lover. Anyone that knew her thought it ran through her veins. Yellow is her favorite color - sunshine and the yellow rose of Texas.
Eddy is survived by her son, Steven Thomas, her two daughters, Laura Coughenour husband Robert Coughenour and Marie Free-Ramsey husband Doug Ramsey, six grandchildren, Shawn Coughenour wife Jessie, Cody Coughenour, Taylor Ramsey, Ashley Coughenour, Aaron Ramsey wife Julie, Chase Ramsey, and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Coughenour, Stella Coughenour, Emersyn Coughenour and one new Ramsey on the way.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 15th, 2021 and funeral service is scheduled for 2 pm on May 16th, 2021, at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in McKinney on South Tennessee Street.
