Eddie Ray Hoofnel

Eddie went home to our Lord on July 3, 2018 at the age of 68. He was born September 1, 1949 to Edwin T. Hoofnel and Margaret Miller Hoofnel in Russelville, Kentucky. He grew up in Jeffersontown, Kentucky and in 1969 joined the Marine Corp. He served in Viet Nam and was awarded the Purple Heart. In 1968 he married Barbara Trux, also from Jeffersontown, Kentucky. They later moved and established his own business in Dallas, Texas. With his sense of humor Eddie was a source of entertainment at every family gathering. He loved animals and fishing and his true talent was the ability to cook. He could prepare anything with confidence.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and sister, Margie Martion. He is survived by wife Barbara; daughters Dawn, Dana (Larry); son Danny (Raquel); sisters Lana (Sam), Vicki (Doug); brothers Terry (Missy), and Gary (Mary Beth); and grandchildren Lance, Trevor, Brooklynn, Sterling and Jon-Michael.
