Earl Thompson (Tom) McClure of Wylie, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 15, 2024. He was born in Taos, New Mexico on November 27, 1931, lived and worked in El Paso, Texas for most of his life retiring as a Property Damage and Auto Claims Adjuster for State Farm. After settling in Wylie, Texas he was an active member and served as an Elder at Cowboy Church of Collin County. He was also a Master Mason of East Fork Masonic Lodge No. 650.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth (Liz) McClure; daughters Lorraine Smith (Blair): Amy Ramos (Arthur) and Cheryl McClure (Joe); grandchildren Brittany Petty (Jacob), Andrew Smith, Aubrey Ramos, Alyna Ramos, Michael McClure and Grant Syron. He was preceded by his parents Gilbert Earl McClure and Amy Iles and his son, Gerald (Gerry) McClure.
Tom lived a long, happy and active life - always excited and proud when planning and working on projects at home, church and lodge. And he was always willing to help out and share his life experiences with all! He will be missed! Rest in Peace Tom!
