Glen Hedrick died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Dallas. He was born March 31, 1940 in Laird Hill, TX to the late Lemuel and Gertrude Blair Hedrick and was a resident of Dallas, TX.
Glen was a commercial property manager for over 25 years in Dallas, however was a self-pronounced nomad and had careers in San Francisco and New York as a merchandise manager , in Hawaii as a landscape designer, and was a cook on an oil rig. Glen loved photography, gardening, and spending time with his Godson Phillip.
In addition to his parents, Glen was also preceded in death by brothers, Boyd Hedrick, Jack Hedrick, Lewis Hedrick, James ‘Sonny’ Hedrick, and sisters Ruby Johnson, Edith Allen, Patricia Nye, Freda Pritchard, and Barbara Ranney.
Survivors include brothers Bill D. Hedrick, Kilgore, and Buck Hedrick, Laird Hill and sisters Georgia Morris, Overton and Jessie Ligon, Kilgore and numerous nieces and nephews, most who called him their "favorite uncle", also by great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and will miss so much. He also leaves behind lifelong friends, too many to count, and a very special Godson Phillip Smith who brought so much sunshine and joy into his life since he was six months old. Friends always told Glen that Phillip was so fortunate to have someone who loved him as his own son;Glen would always say"No,I'm the lucky one!"
