Douglas Hugh Watkins was born July 18, 1964. Doug went to be with theLord on Monday, the 14th of May, 2018. Doug was born in Wylie, Texas, toKenneth Webb Watkins and Sally Ann Taylor Watkins. Doug graduated fromAthens High School in 1982.On August 10th, 1984, Doug married the love of his life, Kayla Mae Wallis ofAthens. He was an amazing, kind, and loving husband. Doug and his wifeowned and operated Able Moving Company for the last 25 years.He enjoyed gardening, football, and was a loyal Dallas Cowboy Fan.He never met a stranger. His family was very important to him.He will be lovingly remembered by Kayla, his wife of 33 years; his father-in-law,Bobby Wallis; his sister and brother-in-law, Tonna and Tommy Mooring;his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Mary Watkins; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Penni Watkins; his brother and sister-in-law, Stoney andMichelle Watkins; plus aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extendedfamily and dear friends.“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (NRSV)Interment following the service atLake View Cemetery2343 Lake RoadLavon, TX 75166
