Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Amie Smolka; two daughters, Lanita King and her husband, Jimmy and Gina Runnels and her husband, Steve; three granddaughters, Kambrie Sanderfer and her husband, Travis, Brooklyn Korinek and her husband, Westin, and Payton Runnels; grandson, Kaeson King and his wife, Maggie; great-grandson, Memphis Sanderfer; great-granddaughter, Aubrey King; sister, Margaret Smolka; and numerous other family members.
