Douglas Steffan Perdue

Doug Perdue was born in Dallas, Texas on January 11, 1954, to Billy John Perdue and Eva Nell Perdue. He passed on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home in Farmersville, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Meloney Perdue as well as his children, Joe Perdue, 38, and his wife , Annie, from Rockwall, Texas, Matt Perdue, 31, and Jessica Petroni, 25, and her husband Albert of Farmersville, Texas and his older brother, John Perdue, 61, of Harrison, Arkansas. His greatest joy came from being able to be a part of the lives and many accomplishments of his grandkids, whom he always called his "pride and joy". His grandkids are Jacob and Kylie Perdue, 12 and 9, from his eldest son, Joe, A.J. Sierra, Abby and Albert Petroni III, ages 7,3 and 1 and one week from his youngest daughter, Jessica. Doug was an excellent father, husband, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. His ready hugs brought happiness and comfort to many throughout his life. He will be missed by us all. The family will receive guests at a visitation to be held Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. A funeral service will take place Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:15.
