Dorothy Hindman Meyer, the beloved wife of Robert (Dutch) H Meyer for 67 years was affectionately known as "Dot". She was born to Ewell and Cynthia Ridling Hindman in Bossier City, LA. Dot graduated from Lake Charles High School and Louisiana Tech University.
Dot and Dutch resided in Thibodaux, LA prior to moving to McKinney, TX. Her love and talent of flowers and interior design were appreciated by many through her business, The Moss Picker, which she operated for over 27 years.
Dot was a member of Thibodaux's American Business Women's Association and Ta-Wa-Si, which is known for its annual Antique Show and scholarship funds.
Her love of flowers and gardening was enhanced through her involvement in the McKinney Garden Club. Dot relished her time with the members of McKinney's First Methodist Church's Sunday School class. Her love of both antiques and flowers was highlighted through her involvement with the McKinney Historical Neighborhood Society. Her affection for animals was fondly shown through her love of her family's many dogs and cats.
Dot is survived by her husband Robert (Dutch) Meyer, her son Robert Kurt Meyer and wife Amy Allen Meyer; daughter Franet Hazard and husband Richard S Hazard. She is preceded in death by her parents Ewell and Cynthia Hindman and brother James Joel Hindman.
