Dorothy Heilbrun

Dorothy Heilbrun, 87, of Celina, Texas passed on to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of November 28, 2018 while surrounded by her family and caretakers. Dorothy was born December 15, 1930 in Gering, Nebraska to Henry and Mollie (Popp) Schanaman.

Dorothy grew up a hard-working farm girl who completed her high school degree. She married the love of her life, Paul Heilbrun, on December 30, 1949 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The two went on to raise a daughter, Jessica.
Dorothy loved being a part of her church-home. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her growing family. Dorothy's love and kindness will be missed by all who cherished her, but they find comfort in knowing she is home with the Lord.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.

Dorothy is survived by daughter; Jessica Babbitt (Steve) of Cartwright, OK, granddaughters; Angela Smith (Kevin) of Lake Villa, IL and Felicia Hall (Dan) of Plano, TX, grandsons; Brian Babbitt (Ashley) of McKinney, TX and Reid Babbitt (Kelsey) of Stratford, OK, great-grandchildren; Levi, Jared, and Ashely Smith of Lake Villa, IL and Austen, Aubrey, and Avery Hall of Plano, TX, and Bree Babbitt and Marli Babbitt, sisters; Shirley Helling (Mert) of Mead, WA and Joyce Andrews of Amarillo, TX, as well as many many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded by husband; Paul G. Heilbrun, parents; Henry and Millie Schanaman, sisters; Irene Pauley, Mary Ehler, Angeline Villella, Betty Becker, and Ester Peaster, brothers; Sam, Harry, Floyd, Richard, and Freddy Schanaman, Heiny and Alex Rein, additionally an infant brother.

A service will be held promptly at 1:15p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery located 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75112
