Dorothy N. Brown

Dorothy N. Ludwig Brown was born on September 22, 1927, in Bremond, TX. She passed away in Dallas, TX, on March 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Essie Ludwig, her husband, Fred R. Brown, two brothers, Buford and Herbert Ludwig, and her son-in-law, Del Anderson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Karen Brown, her daughter, Patti Anderson, grand children, Ryan and Leena Brown, Jennifer Robinson, Russell and Randell Anderson, and future granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Affek, great grandson, Michael Brown, one brother, Fred Ludwig, sisters-in-law, Ann Walding, Janice Brown, Mary Ludwig, and Betty Ludwig, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy N. Brown was a registered nurse. She received nurse's training under the cadet corp during World War II at Methodist Hospital of Dallas. She worked for a doctor's office, at Presbyterian Hospital, and as a school nurse for Garland Independent School District.

She married Fred R. Brown on September 11, 1948, and they were married until his death in November of 1986. She helped him establish a law practice in Garland in 1950. She remained a resident of Garland until her death.

Dorothy was a very gifted artist. She painted many pictures, and knitted beautiful sweaters. She sewed beautifully and was very skilled at decorating.

Dorothy was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and leaves a huge loss in their lives. She is finally reunited with her husband and her family in heaven. We will all miss her very much.
