Doris Janett McNair

Doris Janett McNair, age 83 of Wylie, TX, passed away on October 23, 2016 in Wylie, TX. She was born on January 23, 1933 in Dallas, TX to Elzie Warren & Eugenia Cleo (Awalt) Smith. She married Richard McNair on October 20, 1954 in Casa View, TX. Doris worked for 27 years as a maintenance secretary for Intercontinental Manufacturing in Garland, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lavon. Doris enjoyed quilting and sewing and she loved to sing in the church choir.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Richard McNair; two sons, Harold McNair and wife, Donna and Bryan McNair; daughter, Lea Ann Bobbitt and husband, Mike; six grandchildren, Randy McNair, Lyndsey Griffin, Jimmy Hockett, Jonathan Hockett, Zacharias McNair and Elyssia McNair; eight great-grandchildren; numerous other in-Laws and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Lavon, 205 Main St., Lavon, TX 75166, with Dr. A.L. Draper and Pastor Brad Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Lavon, TX.
