Doris Endsley, 85, of McKinney, Texas passed away May 20, 2018 with her family by her side.Doris was born February 14, 1933, in rural Bee County, Texas, to the late Edgar and Annie Wagner. She was raised there in the Lutheran faith. Doris graduated from A.C. Jones High School in Beeville, Texas in 1950. Also in Beeville, Doris married the love of her life, L.O. Endsley in 1955...they spent 45 years together.The Endsleys lived in Harlingen, Corpus Christi, and Alice, Texas prior to settling in McKinney in 1983.Doris worked for the U.S. Government for over 33 years- first with the Soil Conservation Service, and later with the Social Security Administration as a claims representative. She believed helping others to get disability or retirement were Divine Appointments from God.While living in Alice, Doris became active within the Baptist Church, and she remained active at First Baptist McKinney for as long as she could. She helped First McKinney begin their Prayer Ministry, and volunteered in the Prayer Room for over 25 years, and was a member of the choir. The City of McKinney welcomed Doris to lead their National Day of Prayer for 5 years.Most of all, Doris was devoted to her family, loved God, had strong faith, and truly believed in the power of prayer.Doris is survived by daughter; Sheri Endsley of Fort Worth, Texas, and son; Stephen Endsley of McKinney, Texas.A memorial service vice will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00am at the CHAPEL of First Baptist McKinney.
