Doris Ann Byrd

Doris Ann Byrd, of Rowlett, Texas, went to Heaven with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Doris was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 28, 1925 to John and Rena Steele. Doris spent her youth growing up in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Refugio High School in 1943. In 1951, Doris met the love of her life, Raymond Dan Byrd. They were married for 67 years, and they had three beautiful children together: Raymond Glenn Byrd (Jean), Lisa Ann Putnam, and Lizabeth Jane Pressley (Gary). Doris' blessed legacy includes six wonderful grandchildren, five wonderful great-grandchildren, and a host of precious nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Gillespie Steele, and sisters Mildred Doughty Toness, Betty Thurmond, Barbara Roberts, and Jane Reddell.
