Donny Lee Hester

Donny Lee Hester, was born February 16, 1949 in Andrews, Texas and passed away on January 22, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Thornton and father E.L. Hester and his sister Betty McGinnis. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Yvonne Hester of Garland, Texas and his children: Lisa Michelle Meeks of Wylie, Texas, Amy Sharee Gaspar of Midland, Texas, Nathan Dwayne Hester of Garland, Texas, Donny Lynn Hester of Reno, Nevada, Daniel Lee Hester of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Dawn Leann Rutherford of Gun Barrel City, Texas. Grandchildren: Joshua Huerta, Ashlyn Wallace, Joscelyn Meeks, Alex Reyes, Anthony Reyes, Andrew Gaspar, Amya Jones and Victoria Jones. Great-Granddaughter: Aiyanna Wallace. Siblings are Pat Spears, Linda Chambers and Kenneth Hester. Donny enjoyed fishing, hunting and scrap metaling. He loved his family very much and hated to leave them. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held Friday January 24, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, A Celebration of life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 25, 2014 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Shed cemetery in Mt. Joy, Texas with Ricky Young officiating.
