Donna Gaye Brown

Donna Vanderslice Brown, age 72, passed away on October 19, 2017 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Garland, Texas. Donna was a resident of Rowlett, Texas and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lucas, Texas.

Donna was born November 1, 1944 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Mr. James Waylon and Mrs. Arlene Vanderslice. In 1963, Donna married the love of her life Ed Brown. During their marriage, they were blessed with three wonderful children, Vickie, Rick, and Kim. Prior to her retirement, Donna was an employee of the Garland Independent School District.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ed Brown, daughter Vickie Baxley and her children Jennifer, Brian, and Melissa, son Ric Brown and his wife Cherie and their children Justin and Jared, daughter Kim Gibbs and her husband Kyle and their son Ethan. Donna is also survived by her brother Waylon Vanderslice, his wife Kathy and their children Steven Vanderslice and Shelley Arnett, her sister Jennifer Adams and her husband Larry and their children Christi Auten and Lauren Morris. In addition, she has five great grandchildren and seven great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her son in law Ray Baxley.

A celebration of her life will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lucas, TX on Monday October 23, 2017.
