Donald Jay Meek

Donald Jay Meek, age 79, a resident of Wylie, Texas for over forty-four years, passed away August 3, 2014 in Richardson, Texas. He was born December 7, 1935 in Dimmitt, Texas to the late Lee and Gladys Meek.

Don was married to his beloved wife, Jo , for over sixty years. She preceded him in death in February of this year. The couple married on October 10, 1953. They raised their five children in Wylie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Larene Meek; and his parents, Lee D. and Gladys Meek.

Don is survived by his children, Corwin Don Meek and his wife, Dianna, Danny Craig Meek and his wife, Barbara, Kimberly Darlene Hall and her husband, Rodney, Sharla Renee Vanderslice and her husband, Brandon, and Michael Alan Meek and his wife, Julie; eight grandchildren, Charity Meek, Chasity Nicholson and her husband, Michael, Eric Meek and his wife, Erika, Collin Millis and his wife, Kendall, Corbin Millis, Taylor Hall, Hunter Meek, and Tate Wood; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Philpott, Corbin Nicholson, Gage Nicholson, and Parker Don Meek; sister, Wanda Lee Mason; nephew, Dennis Tucker; and numerous family members.
