Donald Edward Brown

Donald Edward Brown of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Baylor Medical Center at McKinney with family by his side. He was 80 years old.

Donald was born in Waxahachie, Texas on March 9, 1935, to Ted A. Brown and Mamie Freeman Brown. He has two brothers, Glen and Ronald Brown, both of Longview, Texas. After graduating from Longview High School in 1953, he attended Dallas Mortuary School.

Donald married Betty Sue Dugger in 1955 when they were both 19 years old. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. They have two children, Mark Brown of Dallas, Texas, and Belinda Kennedy of McKinney, Texas. They also have four granddaughters, Daisy and Chloe Brown, and Caroline and Claire Kennedy. He worked for Williamson Printing Corporation in Dallas, Texas for over 40 years.

Donald was a member of the Church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas, where he had been actively involved with the South Texas/Mexico mission.

One of his fondest family memories was taking summer road trips around Texas with his wife, his children, and his granddaughters. He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the McDermott Road Church of Christ South Texas/Mexico mission fund in memory of Donald Brown.
