Don Jerome Morrow age 81, of St. Paul, Texas passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021. Friends and family are invited to gather at Big Springs Baptist Church of Garland, Texas on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM for a memorial service to honor his life. There will be a short graveside service immediately following the church service.
Don is followed in death by his loving wife Joyce Morrow who passed shortly after him on January 2, 2022, preceded in death by his mother Ruth Ann and father Robert G. Morrow, as well as his stepson Kevin Davis.
He is survived by his son Don Morrow Jr., sister Ruth Ann Thornton, and twin brothers Jimmy and Johnny Morrow. He is also survived by his children Kathy Johnson and her husband John, Karen Craig and husband Michael. His three grandchildren, Shannon Moore, Jeremy Johnson, Taylor Johnson and husband Theran Johnson. Six great-grandchildren, Hailey Moore, Jonathan Moore, Lauren Fee, Payton Johnson, Kayden Johnson and Westin Ray Johnson; two great-great-grandchildren, Beaux Savage and Emery Johnson.
Don was born in Buchanan Co., Missouri, on April 7, 1940. He graduated from Maur Hill Mount Academy high school where he was a high academic achiever. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from the University of Kansas. He spent most of his career in the defense industry with both Texas Instruments and later Raytheon. He met Joyce at Texas Instruments. They married and settled in Richardson. They were married for 51
years.
Don loved to work in his shop. He could repair anything. Don, Joyce, and their beloved dogs, Bitsy Sue, Precious, and Princess loved to travel in their motorhome across the United States. He was a fair, wise man and a good provider.
