Debra Ann Teichman Dibble, 72, of Sachse, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. She was born on April 3, 1952, to Leo Frank Teichman and Mollie Nell Post Teichman in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She grew up in the Dallas area and attended Bishop Lynch High School. After graduating in 1970, she went on to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock where she met Kirk Dibble and later had three children, Teri, Brad and Kim.
Debi’s professional career was marked by over 30 years of dedication at Southwestern Bell, which later became AT&T. She retired from AT&T in 2006, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Debi was preceded in death by her son, Brad Dibble, her daughter-in-law Amy Dibble, her father, Leo Teichman, and former husband, Kirk Dibble. She is survived by her daughter Teri Kelly and her husband Dan, her daughter Kimberly McBroom and her husband Michael, grandchildren - Mason Dibble, Taylor and Dylan Kelly, Calvin, Preston, and Dakota McBroom, and bonus grandchildren - Lyndi Bryan, Taia and Jackson Walker. She also leaves behind her partner for over 20 years, Randy Gay, her mother, Mollie Teichman, siblings - Allan Teichman and his wife Carrolyn, Brian Teichman and his wife Tina, and Mary Jane Coker and her husband Chris, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
Debi was known for her loving, caring, and selfless nature. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the gift of being a mother and a grandmother to all of her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Dedi.” Despite her many challenges, Debi was a fighter, and her strength, grace, and unwavering love will be remembered always.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th, from 2-4 p.m. at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, TX 75048. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, December 30th, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 2900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX 75088.
Debi’s loss is deeply felt by those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
