Dean Sullins, 81, of Garland, TX passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 29, 2018 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Campbell) Sullins, of 61 years, and his four children: Debbie (Rick) Billingsley, Jerry Sullins, Lisa (David) McClister, and Beth (Bob) Tabor; and daughter-in-law, Tammy (Zazzara) Sullins. His children honored him by taking Genesis 1:28 to heart where God says, "Be fruitful and multiply." They produced 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Dean was born October 13, 1936 in Newport, AR to the late Charles David and Minnie Johns Sullins. He was the youngest of six children and is preceded in death by his four brothers: Ernest, Earl, Cecil, and Olan, and one sister, Elsie.
Dean and Donna moved to the Chicago area in 1957. He worked as an electrician at Caterpillar for 30 years. Upon retirement, they returned to AR where they lived 9 years. In 2005, they decided to move to TX to be closer to their children.
Dean dedicated his life to seeking the will of God, and he longed to be a bondservant of Jesus Christ. He showed his love through his generosity and hospitality, and his influence has been spread throughout the country. His desire and prayer was to teach his children, grandchildren and their children, and even strangers, to know God's will. His presence will truly be missed, especially by his wife and family, but also by all who knew him.
Dean fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith to receive the crown of righteousness promised from the Lord.
