David Leon Webb August 7, 1943 - April 19, 2020

David Webb of Lucas, TX passed away peacefully at his home on April 19th, 2020 at the age of 76, and was surrounded by family in his final weeks and hours.

David was born on August 7, 1943 to Bennie Leon Webb and Anna Maurine Webb. The youngest of three brothers, he grew up in Dallas, TX and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. On June 14, 1963 he married Carolyn Webb and they enjoyed 56 long years of a loving and devoted marriage together.

David later attended University of Texas at Arlington where he pursued a degree in Engineering, but his field of interest later shifted to Real Estate in which he enjoyed and prospered for many years as a Real Estate Broker. In his later years he became a domain name buyer/seller along with other entrepreneurial pursuits of which became his passion.

David was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Webb; Father Bennie Leon Webb and Mother Anna Maurine Webb; Brothers Gene Webb and Ted Webb. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda and son-in-law Brad; son Tim and daughter-in-law Cyndy; his grandchildren Zachary (Zach), Courtney, Erica and Victoria (Tori) as well as other cousins, nieces and nephews.

To say David was a pure optimist would be an understatement as he always looked at the glass being "half full", always looking on the bright side of life, believed "it could always be worse", and always believed in everything he pursued with nothing but a positive attitude. He had many quotes but two that always rang true were "One Day at A Time" and "I Cried When I Had No Shoes Until I Saw The Man That Had No Feet". He was a selfless man who loved giving to others whether it be to family or friends, and his gifts did not come in small packages. His love of road trips took him all over the map of the West, a tad to the East and he also could be seen boarding a plane with loved ones, friends or both and heading off to an exotic location in the Caribbean.

His love and devotion for his wife Carolyn carried on even when she succumbed to Alzheimer's and he became her primary caretaker. Through all of her care he kept his positive attitude, sense of humor and made the best of the situation although it was very difficult for him. He will be dearly missed by all of his family, his many life-long friends and all others whose lives he touched with his generosity, kindness and wonderful spirit.

Due to current health concerns regarding COVID-19, there will only be a Graveside service which has been limited to ten people which includes: two funeral directors, one officiator (Brian Everett) and seven family members.

Graveside service will be on April 29th at 2:00pm at Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, TX 75048
