David Alan Roby, 58, passed peacefully in his home in Melissa, Texas on Tuesday, November 5th after a long battle with Cancer. David was born on September 27, 1961 in Laramie, Wyoming to James and Linda Roby.
He grew up in Ingleside, Texas as a local baseball all-star and met his wife there at a local college. It was love at first sight and they were married on December 19, 1981 just 10 months after their first date. David enjoyed playing, coaching and watching ALL baseball in his spare time. If there was a game, you can bet he remembered the score and the players statistics! He also loved golfing, visiting historical places in the US, and giving lots of candy to his grandkids! He worked for Pearle Vision for 22 years and Matco Tools for 11 years.
David is survived by his wife, Joy, daughters Lauren Boulet and husband Jeromy Boulet, Holly Seth and husband John Seth, son Jeremy Roby and wife Jensen Roby, 9 grandchildren-Karlee, Kara, Karsyn, Connor and Kaityln Boulet, Emory and Sawyer Seth, Rhydian and Caelynn Roby, mother Linda Roby, sister Dana Stockton and husband Bill Stockton, nephew Brayden Stockton and a large number of extended family. David was preceded in death by his father James Roby, grandparents Ida and Jesse Reynolds, and Garvis & Mary Margaret Roby.
