David Barger Christian

David B. Christian, 74, of Garland died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at a Dallas hospital.

He retired from Alcatel after 36 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Garland, where he was a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; son, Mikal Christian and wife, D’Lisa, of Rockwall; daughter, Karen Phillips, and husband, Ben, of Benton, Ark.; granddaughters, Macy Bassett, and husband, Brennen, and Megan Phillips; grandsons, Christian Phillips, Collin Christian and Hayden Phillips; brother, Bobby Christian; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gracie B. Christian.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Sachse, TX, with Dr. Greg Ammons and the Rev. Jack Shmid officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017.
