David Barry

February 16, 1955 — January 30, 2019

In loving memory of David L. Barry, age 63 who was born in Dallas, Texas to Rita and Bill Barry. He was number 6 of 10 sisters and brothers. David was in the Army and served his country during the Vietnam war, serving in Germany. His spent his whole career as a computer programmer, mostly in the banking industry. His real love was teaching computer classes part time so that I could stay home with Jennifer and Jason. In his spare time, he coached Jason in every sport and volunteered for PTA, Boy Scouts and the Berkner band. He was always an advocate for all kids.

David passed away on January 30, 2019 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Anita; his son Jason and daughter-
in-law Lacy; grandchildren Hailey (doodle bug), Andrew and Jaidyn. His sisters and brothers; Margie, Bill, Georgeanna, Rita, Christine, Tim, Cindy and Steven; and his other sisters; Jeanette, Janice and mother Lil, and many great nieces and nephews. And, of course, those who have gone before him; his mom and dad; his sister Shirley (number 2); Uncle Bobby and his beloved daughter Jennifer (JuJu bean); his granddaughter Julie, and his dad Harold.

The family would like to thank all of our wonderful family and friends that have supported us during this time; there are many. We have been so blessed to have all of you around us at this time and in our lives.

David's Celebration of Life will be held at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral Home at 2925 5th Street in Sachse, Texas, 75048, on February 16th at 10:00 am. We thought this fitting to celebrate David on his Birthday.
